The sale transaction went smoothly and the item was shipped quickly, but when the package arrived I was shocked to find that the bonnet was folded in half -- gently, but there is still a significant fold in it that I'm not sure can be removed. Bonnets that have a stiffened brim like this one should be shipped flat because folding it often causes permanent damage. I assumed that the $13 shipping charge (which is a lot for a light item like this; the package arrived with a $5.40 postage label) meant that it would be shipped flat, but I should have clarified that with the seller first. If you are working with this seller and the item you're buying may need to be handled with extra care, I'd encourage you to discuss it specifically.
