I cannot, in good conscious, give this seller a positive or neutral review considering the hassle it took to receive this dress, and communication issues from the seller. I bought the dress exactly on 12/24/2019, right on Christmas eve, and immediately paid in full not long after. In an effort to keep the shipping cost as low as possible, I explained I would not need the item right away, and was willing to wait for it. While this was the case at the time, I did not expect to have to wait 45 days straight, for further response. I immediately attempted to contact the seller once I realized how long it had been without response. I was given a reasoning that the seller had an extreme situation of sorts going on (involving an issue with her apartment and a "burglary" that resulted from it, in her words - this excuse alone already made me highly skeptical), which had apparently happened not long after holiday time, and they had overlooked shipping out my item. Already, I was a bit frustrated, but I attempted to respond with politeness and understanding - I can understand sometimes extreme situations do actually happen. However, it had taken opening a Paypal case to even get the seller to respond. In between, about three more weeks went by without further communication from the seller. I alerted them again, and received a response that it'd be mailed out "soon", with the matching Hospitality Doll headdress included as an "apology". I was willing to accept even this, but then, even the shipping of this took about a week, even when the shipping had seemingly been "upgraded". Also in between, I was concerned about a line in my address (house number) being repeated twice. I was assured it would be fine, that it was due to German post formatting, but, for the duration of the exchange, it almost felt like I was being scammed. The package did, fortunately, arrive despite the label issue - and fortunately, the Hospitality Doll set was in it. However, the headdress that was claimed to be "included as [an apology]" was NOT included. I have video of me opening the box, where you can see only the set with no headdress lying on top. In between the paypal case issues, I was asked to please ask paypal to cancel the case, despite my ongoing issues with the seller and continuous slowness/lack of response. I was not able to cancel the case due to Paypal not providing this option (*have screencaps), so I couldn't do anything regardless, but ... also found it suspicious I was asked by the seller to cancel it instead of them owning up to their mistakes. Also in between, we were negotiating what to do in case Paypal returned the funds from opening the case to me or the seller. Paypal eventually refunded the seller, of course (as the shipping had shown as ""completed""). The set, meanwhile, had a slightly musky smell (assumed from storage) as well as numerous hairs (I presume human hairs, as they were jet black and numerous) threaded through the set, on multiple portions of it as well as on the inside as well (this is why I believe it to be human hair - I also have video showing the hair embedded on the inside that I can provide). A simple dry clean would honestly have resolved most of this issue, but when I asked the seller if they would be able to reimburse for the shipping time or even a bit of dry cleaning cost, (even an amount as small as $20 might have sufficed) I was simply asked "Would you like to return the item?", nothing more stated, no owning up for the missing headdress. I did not believe the item needed returning, and explained I do not feel comfortable shipping internationally, especially when one considers how long it took the set to arrive to me in the first place - I purchased this Christmas Eve! I received no further response, and they made no move to own up for their mistakes in the transaction as well as not including the matching headdress, and did not even offer to ship it out to make up for their mistake. Even receiving the headdress without any reimbursement would be ideal, should the seller not be able to reimburse. Needless to say, this seller apparently has notable issues with communication, and will need to seriously improve on it if they wish to maintain repeat customers, likely on other sites after Lacemarket - I notice another Negative has been left since noting similar issues (during the transaction, the only negative had been from Wunderwelt). If I had been reimbursed, this feedback would have been left neutral or even positive (had the communication been more prompt, and the seller more honest.) I do not think they are completely a bad person, and possibly not a scammer, but communication left a lot to be desired, especially if they want to maintain a positive feedback rating on Lacemarket or other Lolita sales platforms. In the event they'd still be willing to reimburse, I would be able to provide video of the set in its current state, and may still be willing to change this feedback to Neutral. The ball is in the sellers' court at this point, and to be honest had been since the start - but as of my last reply sent to them, it's again been over a week. My last message to them was sent on February 22nd; it is now March 3rd. I can provide screencaptures and receipts for this entire transaction. Considering I've seen numerous buyers and sellers both on this site have much less patience than me for these kinds of issues, I believe I am not being unreasonable in asking for either the headdress to be shipped, or even a tiny reimbursement for dry cleaning. If the seller cannot offer even partial refunds at all, they should indicate so in their TOS (Terms of Service), but their TOS was blank when I made the purchase, and the listing itself made no mention of such either. The listing also did not mention the hairs, for example, only "a good condition for the age. There are no damages." I am disappointed that this is the first negative review I've had to leave on Lacemarket outside of one other (which involved a genuine scammer who took money, ran, and never shipped out the dress). Item arrived as described in sale, but communication for this transaction was not the best. I purchased this item on 11/10 & messaged the seller immediately to let them know I had won their auction & that I was ready to pay, but only received a reply back on 11/16. Seller was apologetic for the late reply & said the item would be shipped with tracking information. I sent another inquiry on 11/24 to ask if the item had been shipped and received an answer on 11/27 that it had been shipped out. From sale date to actually receiving the item, it took one month (from Germany to the United States which is understandable). Again, feedback would have been positive but I feel that the communication was lacking.
