Definitely has a strong smoke smell described in TOS but not listed on main page of listing, would have been appreciated. Trying to figure out how to wash it hoping the smell will go away, but otherwise fits and will be turned into an ouji cord.

Being fully honest, this was not a great experience. The seller as a person is very kind, communicates well, and is willing to do their best to make things right. However, the item is completely covered in a Smokey smell that is so intense that I couldn’t keep the dress in my house until it was cleaned. The smell keeps setting off my allergies too. I’ve been soaking it for over a week and changing the oxyclean and vinegar solution every 8 hrs and the smell still isn’t gone. This has become genuine labor and the amount I paid I could have bought a new dress that wasn’t this much work. Seller did offer partial refund for cleaning costs which was kind. Also they forgot to put the headbow (which is part of the listing) in the original package but they sent it free of charge later. The seller isn’t available for shipping except on specific days so it took a couple weeks to get the original package shipped. That doesn’t bother me too much but I’m including everything for future buyers to know and make a knowledgeable choice when buying from them. I gave neutral feedback because they did do what they could to try to make me happy with my purchase but not much can fix a dress that may never be wearable with this smell. While the listing does mention a possibility of a smoke smell due to a wood stove in the TOS, it smells just like cigarettes and triggers my allergies just like cigarette smoke does. I think future listings should specifically state the smoke smell WILL be present and marked down for the effort to clean it. Lastly, they were kind enough to send me a tote bag, jewelry, and stickers for my trouble along with the headbow but those unfortunately were also covered in the smoke smell and I ultimately may not be able to use them either. It is truly unfortunate because if it weren’t for the smell this would have been a great transaction. Buy with intent to clean your items, the dress was otherwise in great condition.

Great communication, and everything was exactly as described! The items did smell a bit like wood smoke, which was stated as a possibility, but just a quick wash got rid of the smell entirely :)
